The Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at the University of North Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Early Colonial to Early Republic U.S. History with a Georgia History specialty.  Primary teaching responsibilities will be on the Dahlonega campus.

Located in the fastest-growing region of the state, the University of North Georgia is a multi-campus university with an enrollment of over 20,000 students, making it one of the largest institutions in the University System of Georgia. Federally designated as a senior military college, one of the university's signature leadership programs is its 800-member Corps of Cadets on UNG's Dahlonega Campus.

  • The course load is 4/4, teaching survey courses and upper-division courses in area(s) of specialization. 
  • Service and scholarly activities are expected.   
  • PhD in hand at time of appointment is required.
